#6 What are Your Favorite Local Places To Train?
Training Talk Video #6 is LIVE and this week Central Ohio native Doug Hile, local ultrarunner and a member of Team Playin’ Possum, joins us to talk about some of his favorite local places to train.
Doug mentions how the 19 Columbus Metro Parks, combining to be more than 230 miles, play a big role in his training. Some of his favorite Metro Parks include Prairie Oaks, Heritage Trail, Battelle Darby Creek, Three Creeks Metro Park and Highbanks.

Metro Parks and the surrounding trails (like the Olentangy Trail) are great venues for training for OUR race. The varying terrain, difficulty and distance make for perfect opportunities to get a great workout in (especially long runs).
You can find out more about great Columbus Metro Parks near you here, and view a map of all Columbus Metro Parks here.
