Returning in 2026, the Gold Medal Challenge honors the legacy of Jesse Owens - and it's your opportunity to rise to the moment, earning multiple medals over your Columbus Marathon weekend.

To earn your challenge medal, race with us on both Saturday and Sunday!

  • Saturday : Join us for the Jesse Owens 5K presented by Park National Bank on a fun  downtown course!

  • Sunday Race Options: Choose either the Nationwide Children's Hospital Columbus Marathon or 1/2 Marathon

  • Swag: You'll earn the shirt and medal from each race plus our Gold Medal Challenge medal for completing your weekend of racing!
