Training Groups
The Columbus Marathon partners with the following training groups that will make your training fun and memorable, instead of a solitary struggle:
- Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training program is a major beneficiary of The Columbus Marathon. The Team in Training Program is the largest endurance- training program in the world. Participants train to complete the marathon while raising money to cure blood cancers. For more information, visit the Team In Training Website: www.teamintraining.org/coh.
- Marathoner in Training

Premier Sports offers this program to train first-time and veteran marathoners to run/walk the Columbus Marathon through the Marathoner-in-Training Program! This unique program is designed to help participants become better long-distance runners and walkers and to provide a support system that offers the conditioning and training needed to effectively and safely run a marathon. For more information, visit the MiT website at: premierraces.com/mit/marathoner.asp.
- Run to Remember

Run to Remember provides an opportunity for you to support hospice care and at the same time honor the memory of a loved one. Through the process of training for the Columbus Marathon, Run to Remember will help you to train appropriately, create a legacy in honor of your loved one, and provide step by step assistance in raising funds for The National Hospice Foundation. Visit runtoremember.org for more information.
- Columbus Runnning Company

By following the Columbus Running Company's fall marathon plan, you will become one of the many to reach your personal goals this coming autumn as you finish the 26.2 mile distance of the marathon. Though similar, everyone will follow a personal, slightly different plan. This is because there are universal concepts to training, but we all have very different aerobic backgrounds - your plan is put together to prepare you to cover 26.2 miles or 13.1. You'll get the benefits of running with a group on long runs and even track work for those interested. At the kick-off party, you'll do a personal evaluation that will be used in the creation of your training schedule. And then it all starts... columbusrunning.com
