Walkers
The 2010 Nationwide Better Health Columbus Marathon and ½ Marathon will feature more than 1500 walkers in both the Nationwide Better Health Columbus Marathon and 1/2 Marathon. The event appreciates the support received by walkers and values their input.
The 2010 Nationwide Better Health Columbus Marathon and 1/2 Marathon Walking Division includes the following features:
- Walkers start at 7:30 a.m. so that everyone, walkers and runners, share in the thrill of the start;
- Walkers are distinguished from runners by having different bib colors;
- Walkers enjoy the same age group divisions as the runners with commensurate awards given;
- Walkers have pace teams to facilitate attaining individual goals;
- Walkers have their results listed separately from those of the runners.
Join us on October 17, 2010 and experience why the Nationwide Better Health Columbus Marathon and ½ Marathon is one of the best walker-friendly events in the country. Note: you must be 16 years of age (as of 10/18/09) to participate in the full marathon and 12 years of age to participate in the 1/2 marathon.
