Marathon Division

Runners
The Nationwide Children's Hospital Columbus Marathon starts near the intersection of Broad and Third Streets in downtown Columbus at 7:30 a.m. for walkers and runners. The course will be open until 3:00 p.m. Awards will be given to winners from different age groups (top three overall in the marathon and ½ marathon and top three in each age group). Following are winners of the 2011 Nationwide Insurance Columbus Marathon:

  • Matt Folk, Perrysburg, OH   2:19:47
  • Ann Alyanak, Bellbrook, OH  2:41:53

Boston Qualifiers
The road to the Boston runs through Columbus.

Nearly 20 percent of the 2010 field qualified for the Boston Marathon – making the Nationwide Insurance Columbus Marathon one of the top marathons in the United States (per capita) to send qualifiers to Boston.
