The Nationwide Better Health Columbus Marathon will feature radio stations and live bands to help thousands of spectators cheer on athletes through their journey. The entertainment options are placed at key points throughout the course to ensure that runners, walkers and wheelchair athletes have support throughout the entire race.
The following live bands will be featured at the Start Line and at Celebration Village at the Finish Line:
The Danger Brothers
For more than 25 years, the Danger Brothers have developed a tradition of spine-tingling, eye-boggling, and ear-ringing Rock & Roll! Averaging 60 shows each year, they bring their high energy rock and unique roll to more than 100,000 smiling fans far and wide. Known for their wild shows as the headliner to OSU football’s largest game day tailgate party ‘HineyGate,’ they draw from a 300 song playlist, taking the crowd on a musical journey from the 50’s through the 90’s. The Danger Brothers will be performing at the start line and are sure to get the runners and walkers warmed up for a fantastic race!
The Ark Band
THE ARK BAND is a St. Lucian reggae band that has continually toured across the United States, Canada and Jamaica sharing its roots reggae, calypso and soca music. Combining heavenly harmonies with tight crisp performances, this powerhouse of talent captures their audiences with their very first note. THE ARK BAND's repertoire combines original and cover compositions with classic and current reggae hits designed to entertain, educate and enlighten all types of people. THE ARK BAND continues to be a dynamic force on the American scene after two decades, their songs expressing the love, peace, togetherness and spirituality needed in our world today! THE ARK BAND will be performing at the finish line at Celebration Village.
BuzzCrush
BuzzCrush is an energetic new project featuring the combined talents of two well-established Columbus bands: 99 Heartaches & Fonzie Monroe. By pairing the ultra-tight rhythm section of Fonzie Monroe with the explosive on-stage personalities of 99 Heartaches, BuzzCrush is already establishing itself as a high-energy cover band that finds no limits in the material it selects for performances. BuzzCrush will be performing at the finish line at Celebration Village.
