Our Quality and Price! | | |
| |
|
In the course of promoting the Nationwide Better Health
Columbus Marathon &1/2 Marathon, we travel to other marathon race expos. We set up a display table and tell people about our favorite subject – our races!
This year it seems like the favorite topic for many of the folks we meet is the quality of our race – especially for the incredible price. More specifically, the Nationwide Better Health Columbus Marathon offers a great value for the money! Through the end of July the full marathon is priced at $65, while the 1/2 marathon will only cost $50. That is lower than most other large marathons and 1/2 marathons, and much lower than some of them! We’ve got some upgrades and enhancements on the way for our 31st running, which will make joining us on October 17 even more worthwhile! Register here!

Shoe Donation Drive Planned | | |
| |
|
A very fit, non-profit group out of Colorado, One World Running, will join us at the 2010 Nationwide Better Health Columbus Marathon and 1/2 Marathon expo October 15 & 16 to conduct a major shoe donation drive. The group holds such collections to gather shoes for needy athletes around the world; the ones donated at our event will be headed to Haiti, an already impoverished nation still reeling from a devastating earthquake in January. Group leader Michael Sandrock tells us that the most shoes they have collected at a single event is 2,000 pairs - so how about we go for a record? Save your old shoes and bring them to the expo in October!
